If you have a four or five button mouse, Mouse Manager could come in useful. Here we show 5 ways how you can assign various predefined actions to your mouse buttons.
If that is the case, you will need another way to change and customize your mouse button actions because Windows doesn’t have any built in options to do it. While most companies support their mice with software, some mice are more generic or come from a manufacturer that hasn’t made its own software.
The company that makes this software will usually only support the mice it manufactures, so you can’t use Logitech software with a Razer or Corsair mouse, and etc. Using the software that is designed for the mouse, you will be able to configure the buttons to perform a number of different tasks. More expensive or premium mice can come with upwards of ten or more buttons. For instance, the middle mouse button in Google Chrome can close tabs, open links in new tabs and auto scroll. Most mice also have a third button on the scroll wheel that doesn’t really have a default function and can perform different actions depending on the software you are using. Overall Review: So far - a very solid 5-star review with a recommendation for intermediate gamers.Any computer user will know that the default actions for the standard mouse buttons are left click to select, right click to show the context menu and the wheel is used for scrolling. Okay the mouse doesn't have replaceable slides or weight customization and it doesn't have more buttons than it needs to be pretty decent for the gaming I do. So far, it has been fantastic and I love it. It does have the capacity to record macros, so that is cool, but I have not specific need at the moment so that is unevaluated.Ĭons: I bought this mouse on a whim and because it seems like a bargain. so I won't put the specific price I paid for this mouse, but I found it to be an incredible bargain for the price.ĥ. Price - for sure price will fluctuate online from this review. For my gaming needs I use 1000DPI for my FPS games and when I'm just using other windows use a 1200-1500DPI setting so I can get around the monitor efficiently.Ĥ. I'm not sure I have need for DPI setting that is that wide in range. You can customize 4 DPI settings from 800DPI to 2400DPI (in 100DPI increments) and select a completely custom color for each DPI setting (including if you want the light to "breath" or be steady). DPI setting is pretty customizable (see images attached to this review). buttons are ergonomically placed and responsive to the touch (oh yeah.responsive to the touch).ģ. It is lightweight and slides almost like liquid helium on my gaming surface (okay maybe not that awesome, but it is pretty darn slick).Ģ. Like you'll likely want to customize the weight of the mouse, have replaceable slides, and have more buttons than you have fingers.if that's your mouse that's cool and more power to you for your gaming proclivities.ġ. If you are in that category of gamer, you'll likely be super fussy about your mouse and what it can and cannot do. Is this for the super-hard-core gamer? Maybe, but more than likely not. I have used several other mouses (meese?) with no problem. Overall Review: I don't know if this is just a problem related to Elder Scrolls, but I kind of doubt it. I connected my old mouse and put the H510 back in the box. BUT, the next day it didn't work again when in the game environment. I reconnected the H510 and it started working. I had to connect my old mouse in order to log off. I couldn't even log off because of the buttons. BUT, on the second day that I used this mouse the buttons would not work once I logged on to the game. It was bulky and didn't slide on the mouse pad as well as my previous mouse did, but I felt like I could put up with that. There was no included software, so I found it on the web and installed it.
When I opened the box I found an instruction booklet that said to install the included software. Cons: I wanted a mouse where I could program extra buttons to work with the on line game Elder Scrolls.
